However this relatively new HV technology is not immune to problems. Contamination, protrusion and SF6 pressure/density loss are examples are some of the issues that can significantly affect reliability of GIS equipment.

Our diagnostics solutions for GIS include identification of defects and faults related to particle contamination, protrusion, etc. through the use of suitable Partial Discharge Detection & Monitoring methods. Our services also include assessment of SF6 gas dryness through the measurement of dew point.
